Pest Control
OPERATORS COURSE.
A
three day course.
The course is intended to enable delegates to gain ‘hand-on’
skills of the latest pest control techniques.
What is this
course about?
This course provides new entrants and existing pest control
operatives with the opportunity to develop new skills and learn about the latest
techniques for controlling pests. As an introduction to the course recent
developments in legislation are covered as well as recognition and life cycles
of the common public health pests.
The remainder of the course is spent surveying premises, using
equipment, discussing and selecting the most appropriate control methods under
guidance from specialist lecturers.

Course location
Training is held
in the relaxing surroundings of the DATAS Training Center in March,
Cambridgeshire. It is a training center approved by a number of national and
international awarding bodies. March is situated 34 miles north of Cambridge, 20
minutes from the A1 and A14 and 5 miles from the A47. It is also well served by
rail from London, Birmingham, Peterborough, Stanstead Airport and Norwich.
The trainers
All the
course tutors are experienced in teaching the various aspects of the management
of pest control. They all have first hand experience of pest control or
environmental health at a senior level.
