       | PEST CONTROLLER OF THE YEAR 2001 AWARDS Do you have what it takes to be a DATAS award winning pest controller? The annual DATAS Pest Controller of the Year Awards are now a major event in the pest control year. Independent judges select winners on the basis of innovation, inspiration or that something special that makes the entry stand-out from all the others. The competition has three categories; public sector, private sector and individual operative. We are fortunate that three of the major businesses in the pest control industry - Russell, Sorex and Bell Laboratories each sponsor a category award. From the three category winners the overall DATAS Pest Controller of the Year is selected. The judges can, at their discretion give a special award (sponsored by DATAS) to an entrant who has shown commitment and initiative.
If you are a business you may enter the Private Sector Award. Simply show what you do to focus on customer needs and deliver a top class service. As a winner you could display the DATAS Private Sector Pest Controller of the Year logo on your headed paper.
Local Authorities can enter the Public Sector Award. The best local authorities are at the forefront in operating successful pest control operations. The councils that have won this award in the past, are those that have put into action the spirit of 'best practice' and treated pest control as a visible and viable means of protecting public health.
The vital role of the individual has not been forgotten, the Operative Award recognises the crucial part the individual plays in safe, effective and efficient pest control. Previous winners have in some way redefined standards of pest control excellence.
