What is
this course about?
MANAGING
SAFELY is for managers and supervisors in any sector or organisation. It is
designed to train managers on the practical actions they need to take to handle
health and safety in their teams. The course gives managers the knowledge and
tools needed to tackle the health and safety elements for which they are
responsible, emphasising why health and safety is such an important part of
their job. The two key areas of health and safety and environmental
basics are covered in a single programme leading to nationally recognised and
respected certification.

Successful
delegates are awarded an IOSH Managing Safely certificate. Employers will
be secure in the knowledge that their managers and supervisors have received
nationally recognised and respected certificated training. The training has been
designed and quality-controlled by the Chartered body for health and safety
professionals, using memorable and thought-provoking facts, figures and case
studies throughout the whole course. Each module is backed by clear examples and
recognisable scenarios, and summaries reinforce the key learning points. The
course includes checklists and other materials for delegates to try out and then
use when they get back to work.
Course
Location
Training is
held in the relaxing surroundings of the DATAS Training Centre in March,
Cambridgeshire. It is an approved training centre by a number of national and
international awarding bodies. March is situated 34 miles north of Cambridge, 20
minutes from the A1 and A14 and 5 miles from the A47. It is also well served by
rail from London, Birmingham, Peterborough and Norwich and the training facility
is 5 minutes walk from the station.
